End of Course Exam
The End of Course Exam comprises 45% of your total AP Seminar score.
This is a timed exam (2 hours) you will sit for in early May.
The EOC consists of two parts...
EOC Part A:
EOC Part B:
DIRECTIONS: After reading the four sources carefully, focus on a theme or issue that connects them and the different perspectives each represents. Then, write a logically organized, well-reasoned, and well-written argument that presents your own perspective on the theme or issue you identified. You must incorporate at least TWO of the sources provided and link the claims in your argument to supporting evidence. You much cite your sources using either the author's name or the source letter (ex. Source A).

- suggested time is 30 minutes
- part A comprises 30% of the 45% of your total AP Seminar score
- Identify the author's argument, main idea, or thesis.
- Explain the author's line of reasoning by identifying the claims used to build the argument and the connections between them.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the evidence the author uses to support the claims made in the argument.
EOC Part B:
- suggested time is 90 minutes
- part A comprises 70% of the 45% of your total AP Seminar score
- you will be provided with four sources to analyze and consider
